The end of a long autumn term might seem a challenging time to review culture in any school or college, but in many ways it is the ideal time to test out how colleagues and students are working and whether they are continuing to live up to the expectations that seem so much easier to achieve in September. Having spent time at BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy in Birmingham in late November to carry out the review, it was a delight to present back to staff before the end of term the conclusions I had reached. This review followed work I conducted a year earlier and it was a delight see the commitment to the values of the academy from all concerned, the determination to make a difference to the lives of students, and the passion with which students engaged with and valued the exceptional vocational opportunities offered by the academy. I am sure that BOA Stag & Screen – and the rest of this amazing trust – will go from strength to strength.
